SAIP is an intensive, hands-on programme designed to equip young people with the technical, entrepreneurial, and behavioral skills necessary to build sustainable enterprises in creative industries. Participants gain practical experience in tailoring, leatherwork, content creation, makeup artistry, and more, while developing the mindset and enterprise acumen to turn passion into profit.

Why the South-South Region Needs This Intervention
The South-South geopolitical zone is a strategic economic engine for Nigeria, yet it faces persistent youth unemployment and a critical skills mismatch.
- The Population Surge: Nigeria’s population is estimated at 242.4 million in 2026, with the South-South region accounting for up to 34 million people.
- A Young Workforce: The median age is just 18.7 years, indicating a very young population entering their peak productive years.
- High Dependency: A high dependency burden currently exists, where a smaller working population supports a large non-working group.
- Economic Impact: Youth unemployment directly undermines GDP growth and fuels social vulnerabilities like poverty and instability.

Focus Areas for Investment
Our curriculum is narrowed to four sectors where skilled talent can immediately generate income or launch micro-enterprises:
- Fashion & Garment Production: Focuses on pattern drafting, sewing, and fashion business management.
- Leather Works & Footwear: Covers shoe making, bag production, and quality control.
- Creative Industry: Equips youths with skills in graphics design, animation, photography, and videography.
- ICT & Digital Skills: Includes software development, UI/UX, data analytics, and remote work readiness.

Our Mode of Training
To reach our target of 5,000 youths, we employ a hybrid training system that ensures no one is left behind:
- Physical Training Hubs: Hands-on workshops and maker spaces facilitated by certified industry experts.
- Online Learning (LMS): Self-paced video modules and live virtual classes accessible via mobile devices.
- Mentorship & Incubation: Every participant is linked to industry mentors and receives business advisory support for their start-up journey.
- Job Linkage: Partnerships with private sector employers to provide apprenticeship and internship placements.
